My name is Gabriele and I deeply love the Mountain, nature and being able to live outdoors. I have an ancestral connection to the Lattari Mountains and the entire Amalfi Coast.

My grandparents, great-grandparents, my ancestors before them were originally from the villages of the Amalfi Coast: Furore and Conca dei Marini.

I’ve always been in love with these places, ever since I was a child. My growing passion, then as a boy, for the Mountain in all its forms led me to take important hikes among the most beautiful mountains in the world but only among the Mountains above the Coast did I feel particularly at home.

The curiosity to know how they were made was very strong and so over the years I got to know them better and better and the amazement was enormous. The views that give you these places are rare.

My passion for the Mountains among other things, led me to open in 2004 an Outdoor store in Rome that I run with my wife Daniela. The shop is BF SHOP

This love and this strong bond with these places has given me an important goal. That of being able to make someone else experience an unforgettable holiday in the hope that these places can occupy a special place in their heart.

My project is called “insupertrek” because using the Latin preposition insŭpĕr “beyond” or “above” I think I can convey the idea you get from walking the paths above the Amalfi Coast.

I organize excursions in the Lattari Mountains of two different types:

• 2/3 day excursions with a fixed base overnight stay, nice treks with some elevation gain but suitable for all slightly trained walkers. You walk surrounded by nature to visit the beautiful villages of the Coast: Amalfi, Positano, Ravello. I called this experience “Hiking on ancient paths”. For more information click here
• challenging excursions that take you from Salerno to Sorrento passing through the high roads of the Lattari Mountains. Backpacking and overnight stops along the way, mostly outdoors with the use of tents or old monasteries and shrines. For this experience I chose the name “Highway Trekking”.
